Born in Cork, Ireland on the 26th of March 1977
World U23 Lightweight Singles Champion 1996
World Rowing Champion in Lightweight Pairs with Tony O Connor in 2001, Lucerne Switzerland
World Cup Champion 2002 and 2006
World Bronze Medallist 1999 (lightweight 4x), 2003 (lightweight 2x) and 2006 (lightweight 4-)
Competed in 3 Olympic Games (Sydney 2000, Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008)
Competed in the Trans Atlantic Rowing Race 2005 with Ciaran Lewis, spending 6 weeks at sea in a 7 meter boat.
Competes regularly in Expedition Adventure Races including The Wilderness Arc in Scotland, Bimbache Extrem in Spain, Turas Beag, Ireland and The Beast Of Ballyhoura as well as The Ace Race series in the UK
Obtained a Bsc (Hons) in Natural Science from Trinity College Dublin
Organises adventure events for charity and companies wishing to expose their brand or improve their workforce
